Air India selects AMOSmro and AMOS CROM to support MRO growth

At a glance

Air India has selected AMOSmro and AMOS CROM as its digital platform for commercial MRO operations
The solution will connect commercial, customer and maintenance processes
The implementation will support Air India Group requirements and future expansion of Air India’s third-party MRO services

Swiss-AS is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Air India for the implementation of AMOSmro (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) and the AMOS CROM module (Component Repair, Overhaul and Manufacture) to support Air India’s MRO operations. The agreement was signed on 23 September 2026 at the MRO-Asia Pacific event in Singapore.

As part of its MRO expansion, Air India is developing a new MRO facility in Bengaluru, India. To support this, it is expanding its existing AMOS Airline Edition deployment to include AMOSmro and AMOS CROM. Together, these solutions will connect commercial and maintenance operations on one platform, supporting Air India’s fleet and the growth of its third-party MRO services.

Supporting the complete MRO process

Running a commercial MRO business involves many steps, from receiving customer requests and preparing quotations to planning and carrying out maintenance.

AMOSmro brings these activities together in one system. It combines AMOS maintenance capabilities with tools for managing customers, quotations and contracts, production, financial processes and billing.

This allows Air India’s MRO teams to manage the commercial and maintenance sides of the business in one place. Teams can follow each job from the initial customer request through quotation and planning to maintenance and completion.

AMOS CROM complements AMOSmro by supporting component maintenance. It helps manage the complete process for component repair and overhaul, from the initial customer request and component induction through quotation, work scope definition, repair, material coordination and release back to service.

This gives airlines and component MRO providers a clear view of each job and its progress, including the information and next steps needed to complete the work.

Air India is a strategically important partner, and the adoption of AMOSmro and AMOS CROM marks a significant milestone in its growth journey. We are proud to support Air India with a proven digital platform that will enable operational excellence, scalable expansion and world-class service delivery as it develops into a leading commercial MRO provider in the region.

Ready for a growing third-party business

Air India is expanding its MRO capabilities to support both the Air India Group and external customers.

As its MRO business grows, Air India needs a consistent way to manage maintenance, customer requirements and commercial activities. AMOSmro supports this growth by bringing these processes together in one system.

This helps Air India coordinate teams and plan resources and materials more effectively, while giving MRO customers greater visibility from the initial request through to completion.

The agreement on AMOSmro is an important step in Air India's journey towards building a world-class MRO ecosystem. The AMOSmro solution will play a key role in enabling integrated maintenance planning and execution, material and inventory management, maintenance records, compliance, and operational control across the facility. It will also help us build a scalable, data-driven MRO operation designed to meet Air India's needs. Our partnership with Swiss-AS reflects our commitment to combining strong engineering processes with leading aviation technology. As we build the next generation of Air India's engineering and MRO ecosystem, digital capability will be as important as physical infrastructure, people and processes.

Swiss-AS looks forward to supporting Air India as it continues to develop its MRO capabilities to serve the need of Air India Group and its third-party customers.
