Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS) is proud to announce that Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico (LTPR) has kicked off its AMOS implementation project, marking an important step in the company’s ongoing digital transformation. LTPR will implement the AMOS MRO Airframe Edition, including AMOSmobile/EXEC and AMOSmobile/STORES, to establish an integrated digital foundation for its airframe maintenance operations, bringing processes, data and teams together within one system.
Located at Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, LTPR specialises in narrow-body aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. Its 20,000-square-metre facility features five maintenance lines and provides heavy maintenance checks, structural modifications and overhaul services, primarily for the Airbus A320 family, serving major commercial airlines across the Americas.
LTPR’s decision to implement AMOS was driven by the need to consolidate its MRO operations within one integrated system, establish consistent end-to-end processes and improve the availability and transparency of operational data.
By reducing the number of separate systems and interfaces, the company aims to minimise manual effort and duplicate data handling while improving visibility and control across maintenance activities. AMOS will also support LTPR’s ambition to strengthen its operational autonomy by enabling greater control over local processes, data and decision-making, while reducing reliance on central systems and services.
Beyond the initial implementation, the project also lays the groundwork for LTPR's future development. An integrated and scalable MRO system will enable the company to further develop its operational processes and support its longer-term business ambitions.
The implementation is expected to take approximately 12 months, with go-live planned for 2027.
Strengthening the collaboration within Lufthansa Technik
The project further extends the collaboration between Swiss-AS and Lufthansa Technik, bringing another Lufthansa Technik operation onto the AMOS platform. It reflects the continued adoption of integrated digital solutions across the Lufthansa Technik organisation, supporting greater alignment and more consistent ways of working.
“For the LTPR team, AMOS is much more than a new system. It is an opportunity to open the doors to digitalization, rethink and optimize our processes, and build a more transparent, efficient, and connected organization. Our ambition is clear: simpler processes, better data and decision-making, stronger collaboration, empowered employees, and improved operational performance.
Our experience during this initial phase has been extremely positive. We sincerely appreciate the professionalism, dedication, and patience of the AMOS team as you guide and support us through our first steps and help us understand the full potential of AMOS. We look forward to working closely together to make this transformation a success!”
